LOS ANGELES – It shouldn’t take a sledgehammer to the gut to wake the Clippers up, but Sunday, they just didn’t hear the alarm.
The final score wasn’t horrible – the Clippers losing 91-80. But let’s be clear. For a big chunk of Sunday’s matinee with the Raptors, the Clippers were horrible.
And another inconsistent performance put the Clippers below .500, frustrated with their uneven play.
Sunday, they trailed by 29 at halftime, their biggest deficit of the season. They scored only 11 points in the second quarter, couldn’t hold the Raptors to under 30 points in either of the first two frames and walked off the court to a round of deserved boos.
