Final: Hot shooting helps Clippers hold off Trail Blazers for seventh straight win

Paul Pierce was going to make shots eventually – at least that was the Clippers’ hope. He’s a future Hall of Famer, and a 5-of-6 night from 3-point range like he had Wednesday isn’t that surprising.

But Austin Rivers? That’s a different story.

Fresh off a horrendous shooting slump, Rivers was perfect from deep as the Clippers beat the Trail Blazers 109-98 in Portland.

The Clippers have won seven games in a row – the longest active streak in the NBA. The six most recent wins have come without Blake Griffin, who is nursing a torn quad tendon.
