Final: Clippers overpower Wizards despite missing Blake Griffin

Two seasons ago, Chris Paul missed 18 games with a separated shoulder, and the Clippers won 12. Last season, Blake Griffin missed 15 games with a staph infection, and they won nine.

They’ve been here before.

So, when the team learned Saturday that they’d be without Griffin for a stretch of games, they didn’t panic – they went out and won in Utah. Monday in Washington D.C., they did it again.

Even without Griffin, the Clippers tuned in one of the most dominant performances of the season, beating the Washington Wizards 108-91.

Thanks to big games from Paul, Jamal Crawford and centers DeAndre Jordan and Cole Aldrich, the Clippers held a double-digit lead for the game’s final three quarters, staving off every Wizard run.
