PHOENIX – Officially, the Clippers have a problem.
Sure, the Clippers were already in for a tough night without their two starting guards available, but with Blake Griffin on the court, they’d have a chance.
But that glimmer was quickly extinguished as a pair of disputed technical fouls led to his ejection, and ultimately, a 118-104 loss.
Griffin’s first technical came as he and Phoenix back-up Mirza Teletovic crossed paths on their way to their respective huddles, making contact after a few physical possessions. Perhaps in an effort to make sure tempers wouldn’t escalate, official Monty McCutchen called both players for technical fouls.
