Per Shams Charania, the LA Clippers have acquired the 48th pick in the 2017 NBA Draft from the Milwaukee Bucks and drafted Sindarius Thornwell out of the University of South Carolina. The senior guard was a crucial part of South Carolina’s Final Four NCCA Tournament run and averaged 21.4 PTS, 7.1 RBS, 2.8 ASST, and 2.1 STL in his SEC Player of the Year Award winning senior season.
Standing around 6’5 with a 6’10 wingspan and a strong 212 frame, Thornwell has the versatility needed to become a lockdown defender capable of guarding multiple positions. The Clippers purchased the pick from the Bucks for cash considerations.
