Last week, TMZ reported that the Los Angeles Clippers are dealing with a front-office power struggle revolving around their new president of business operations, Gillian Zucker. Their report essentially said that Zucker has been trying to edge into the basketball side of the organization which has supposedly caused some unrest and confusion for both the front-office and players.
After getting a chance to address the issue, though, Clippers head coach and president of basketball operations Doc Rivers boldly put the rumor to rest.
Brad Turner of the Los Angeles Times has reported the comments that Doc made when he spoke to the media after the Clippers’ donation of $3 million to City Year Los Angeles:
“There’s nothing there,” Rivers said.
