Free agent small forward Derrick Jones Jr. has agreed on a three-year, $30 million deal with the Los Angeles Clippers, a source told ESPN's Ohm Youngmisuk, confirming multiple reports.
Jones, 27, played a key role in the Mavericks' run to the NBA Finals this past season, starting all 29 postseason games for Dallas.
Jones is a strong perimeter defender and athletic finisher, throwing down 23 dunks in the postseason alone. He was a linchpin for Dallas' defense in the playoffs, routinely taking on the most difficult perimeter assignments.
