C .J. Miller, a defensive back from McEachern High in Powder Springs, Ga., announced his commitment to USC Monday.
Miller is the ninth player to join USC’s 2017 recruiting class. He is the second defensive back and the sixth player from outside of California.
“I want to thank god for the opportunity and all the people that helped me get to this point,” Miller wrote on Twitter.
USC’s offer came five days before Miller made his commitment.
The 6-foot-1, 190-pound Miller also had offers from Auburn, Kennesaw State, Memphis, Minnesota, South Alabama and Youngstown State, among others.
