DeAndre Jordan's NBA-leading consecutive games streak will end at 360

There was some symmetry to the end of the NBA’s longest active streak of games played.

DeAndre Jordan will sit out his first game in nearly five years Wednesday night against the Miami Heat because of pneumonia, the same illness that had sidelined him the last time he missed a game. Jordan had played in 360 consecutive games, last sitting out on March 23, 2011.

The streak didn’t end without a fight.

“I can tell you he was doing everything he could to try to play in this game,” Clippers Coach Doc Rivers said.
