LOS ANGELES – For most of the players set to get drafted next month, and even those on the fringe of being draft picks, this present moment is the most exciting, nerve-racking, joyful and anxious time of their lives.
It’s a range of emotions they largely don’t have time to think about with the amount of pre-draft workouts they’re going through and teams they’re working to impress.
On Wednesday, six potential draft picks worked out for the Clippers, and many of those players have multiple workouts for teams later this week.
For Louisville forward Damion Lee, whose workout with the Clippers was his first for a team, the phone must be on, charged and close by at all times of the day.
