Clippers, Warriors become respectful rivals

PLAYA VISTA – As far as gunners go, Rotnei Clarke was one of the best.

The all-time leading prep scorer in Oklahoma, Clarke averaged more than 40 points per game as a senior, and even today, Blake Griffin is still amazed.

The ball, it seemed, would never stop going in.

And, fittingly, the first thing you see when you click on a YouTube video of Clarke’s high-school highlights is a commercial for Stephen Curry.

“It was like the same type of thing, obviously on a much different scale,” Griffin said. “But it was crazy.”

It’s been crazy how good Curry and the Warriors have been this season.
