Clippers: Teammates endorse Jamal Crawford for Sixth Man of Year

Rest made tonight possible.

Looking forward to the postseason, Doc Rivers decided to rest a large portion of his team (the starting lineup + Wesley Johnson + Austin Rivers) and in doing so, passed the reigns on to Jamal Crawford who did what he’s been pretty good at lately: score the ball and hit important shots.

Crawford’s 30 points (albeit on 9-of-20 shooting) was the high for either team and his contested three-pointer made with .2 left on the clock was last night’s game winner — factoring in clutch, points, and efficiency, it was peak Crawford, and enough for teammates Blake, Chris, and DeAndre to believe the Sixth Man race is sewn up and Craw should be the recipient:

wow great team win!
