LOS ANGELES >> The Clippers did not come into Wednesday’s nationally televised showcase against their bitter rivals riding a wave of positive momentum. They had lost two straight and four of their last six. Their 10-1 start to the season had been nice, but it was history.
Still, they believed that they were good enough to challenge the revamped Warriors in the Western Conference.
Wednesday’s result, however, left little doubt that the Clippers have not narrowed the gap between themselves and the Warriors as much as they had hoped. At least not yet.
