The 6-foot-10, 230-pound Johnson, a four-year contributor for the Tar Heels, averaged 17 points, 10.4 rebounds and 1.5 blocked shots per game as a senior, helping his team reach the NCAA Tournament’s national title game, where they lost to Villanova.
Johnson, 21, played for Chris Paul’s AAU team while in high school.
As a senior, Johnson shot 61.4 percent from the field and 78.3 percent from the free-throw line. He was a consensus First-Team All-American and the Most Outstanding Player of the NCAA East Regional.
