Clippers Select Brice Johnson at No. 25, Make Deal With New Orleans Pelicans to Get No. 39 Pick David Michineau, No. 40 Pick Diamond Stone

The Los Angeles Clippers stayed put in the first round of the 2016 NBA Draft, selecting North Carolina PF Brice Johnson with the 25th overall pick.

In the second round, the Clippers had the 33rd overall pick. For the second year in a row, the Clippers made a deal with the New Orleans Pelicans. This time, the Clippers moved down, sending the draft rights to Kansas PF Cheick Diallo to the Pelicans in exchange for the draft rights to France PG David Michineau (39th pick overall) and Maryland C Diamond Stone (40th pick overall).

Johnson (6’9″, 209 pounds at 2016 NBA Combine) stayed at North Carolina all four years, setting the school single-season record with 416 rebounds in 2015-2016.
