The Clippers have waived second-year forward Branden Dawson.
The move was first reported by The Register.
Dawson, who the Clippers selected No. 56 overall in the 2015 NBA Draft, played in just six games with the team last year.
In the NBA's Development League, Dawson averaged 10.3 points and 4.9 rebounds.
In March, Dawson was arrested on suspicion of felony spousal abuse, though no charges were filed.
Dawson's $874,636 contract for the upcoming season wasn't guaranteed, and waiving him saves the Clippers’ tax dollars they owe the NBA.
While possessing NBA athleticism, Dawson struggled to grasp the Clippers’ offensive and defensive playbooks.
