The Washington Wizards are declining their option on Drew Gooden, and once he hits NBA free agency, he’ll become one of the not-so-exciting big men the Los Angeles Clippers are interested in to replace Cole Aldrich. They desperately need a center after he went to the Minnesota Timberwolves on a steal of a three-year, $22 million deal, but with only minimum deals to offer, the options are limited to say the least.
ESPN’s Marc J. Spears reported the interest in power forward/center Gooden, adding that the New York Knicks, Toronto Raptors and Lakers have reached out, too.
