LOS ANGELES – Clippers rookie forward Branden Dawson was arrested Sunday morning, the Register has confirmed.
According to TMZ, Dawson was booked for suspicion of domestic violence. The Los Angeles Sheriff's Department website said he was being held on $50,000 bail. According to the LASD site, Dawson was arrested at 8:30 a.m. by the Los Angeles Police Department's Pacific Division and booked at 9:50 a.m.
Dawson, 23, was still in custody when the team’s game with Cleveland tipped off at 12:30 Sunday afternoon.
The Clippers recalled Dawson from the NBA D-League Saturday morning. Dawson, the Clippers’ second-round pick in last year’s draft, has played in two games for the Clippers this season.
