The Los Angeles Clipper gave up a future first-round pick and struggling guard Lance Stephenson – who later played well with the Memphis Grizzlies – for forward Jeff Green, at the trading deadline.
The Clippers hoped the 6-foot-9 forward would be the missing piece at the small forward position. Los Angeles even experimented with Green as a stretch power forward.
Ultimately, Green finished the season averaging 10.9 points, 3.4 rebounds, and 1.5 assists per game. He averaged 26.8 minutes per game in 27 games played with 10 starts.
Now, Green’s contract expired and the Clippers must try to re-sign him.
