Clippers open training camp with revamped second unit on display

IRVINE – In one corner of the Bren Events Center, Blake Griffin worked on his shooting. In another, DeAndre Jordan went through post moves. At another basket, J.J. Redick, Jamal Crawford and Pablo Prigioni traded turns splashing jumpers.

Turn to your left, and there’s Paul Pierce; turn to your right and there’s Chris Paul.

Doc Rivers and the Clippers opened training camp on the UC Irvine campus Saturday, and the returning players and new acquisitions made one thing very obvious for the Clippers head coach.

“You can clearly see that we have a lot of talent,” Rivers said.
