Clippers on the hunt for discounts, land former Lakers small forward Wesley Johnson

Free agent small forward Wesley Johnson, who spent the past two seasons with the Lakers, has agreed to a deal with the Clippers.

It’s one of the things the Clippers have struggled most with since Doc Rivers took over control of the team’s basketball operations.

Signing talent at a discount, namely at the veteran’s minimum, hasn’t come easy, as players from Byron Mullens to Chris Douglas-Roberts failed to contribute.

But because of continued salary-cap limitations and a need to overhaul their depth, the Clippers need to hit on their minimum signings.
