Nothing about the Los Angeles Clippers’ weekend was positive. In their back-to-back, they lost to the Memphis Grizzlies 113-102 and the New Orleans Pelicans 109-105. That would be worrying enough seeing as the Clippers’ were making a push for the 3rd seed in the Western Conference, but both teams were without multiple starters and the Pelicans didn’t even have Anthony Davis.
It was the Clippers’ most embarrassing spell of the season so far, and to top it all off, one of their players even picked up an injury. As Jeff Green went up to contend a shot, Zach Randolph inadvertently struck him in the forehead with a powerful elbow, causing him to leave the game to receive eight stitches for the cut he suffered.
