LOS ANGELES – The Clippers aren’t too old to remember the excitement they felt as kids getting to watch their sports idols on television.
That’s part of what makes them appreciate the chances they get to interact and teach children now, which is exactly what they did Friday afternoon at 122nd Street Elementary School in a basketball clinic for students as part of Jr. NBA week.
“Just coming and seeing the young kids, the smiles on their faces and how they interact with us, their faces are priceless,” said Wesley Johnson, who grew up in Texas and still remembers how much he wanted to be around Mavericks players when he was younger.
