NEW ORLEANS >> The Clippers had their way, so J.J. Redick was going to have his.
If the Clippers didn’t want Redick to play Friday night, oysters at one of his favorite restaurants were going to be his lunch.

Redick was a healthy scratch Friday night, getting the night off for rest. The Clippers sat Blake Griffin Tuesday in Brooklyn, signs the Clippers are serious about a season-long maintenance plan for their players.
It’s a plan that’s not wildly popular thus far.
“I think they would rather play but they accepted it, and it’s not been a debate really because I don’t think you could make that a debate — otherwise they’d play,” Clippers coach Doc Rivers said.
