PLAYA VISTA – Memories sometimes can be difficult to shake. For the Clippers, squandering a 3-1 series lead to Houston in last season’s Western Conference semifinals has been hard to overlook, even six months later.
“Win or lose, when you play a team in the playoffs, the following year, you remember the playoffs,” Coach Doc Rivers said. “Even if we had won, you remember the same. That’s the byproduct of playing any team in the playoffs.”
The Clippers will face the Rockets for the first time since April when the teams square off Saturday at Staples Center.
