Miami Heat PG Shabazz Napier made two free throws with 3.8 seconds left, and the Heat defeated the Los Angeles Clippers 87-85 to stay undefeated in the Orlando Summer League.
The Clippers fell to 1-3.
SF C.J.Wilcox started along with SG D.J. Newbill again, but he struggled mightily, finishing the game with 11 points on only 2-of-14 shooting from the field. A silver lining is that Wilcox’s only made three in five attempts came with 42.9 seconds left to play, tying the game at 85 after the Clippers trailed by 13 in the final quarter.
Napier finished with 14 points, four rebounds, and six assists with only one turnover in his first game of the summer.
