Clippers center DeAndre Jordan was selected as a reserve for the Western Conference All-Star team, it was announced Thursday by the NBA.
It is Jordan’s first All-Star selection in a nine-year career.
Jordan, 28, can thank the NBA head coaches, who voted for the reserves. Jordan is averaging 12.5 points and 14 rebounds a game this season.
Oklahoma City’s Russell Westbrook, Golden State’s Klay Thompson and Draymond Green, Sacramento’s DeMarcus Cousins, Memphis’ Marc Gasol and Utah’s Gordon Hayward also were chosen as reserves for the West squad.
