Clippers rookie Branden Dawson won’t be charged with felony domestic abuse for an incident involving his live-in girlfriend that took place March 13 in Los Angeles.
The Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office found there to be insufficient evidence to support the charge. Ricardo Santiago, a spokesman for the office, said the case had been referred to the L.A. City Attorney’s office for possible misdemeanor filing.
However, Frank Mateljan, a spokesman for the city, said there will be no such charges because of “a lack of evidence.”
The 6-foot-6 Dawson was drafted by the Clippers in the second round of the 2015 NBA Draft.
