Good guy Clippers are giving back to the community and in one of the best ways possible.
The Los Angeles Clippers have given $3 million to the city of Los Angeles at this year's "City Year." City Year is a foundation that helps service low-performing schools in low economic areas of LA. The announcement was made Friday at City Year's opening day with Mayor Eric Garcetti and LA Unified board president Steve Zimmer.
Here is a quote from Andrew Hauptman, co-founder of City Year Los Angeles.
"The Clippers Foundation gift is transformational for City Year Los Angeles, one that allows us to grow into the largest full-time AmeriCorps program in all of California and the largest City ear corps in the country.
