Clippers beat Sacramento Kings in season opener, 111-104

The Clippers won their season opener in Sacramento against the Kings, 111-104, at Sleep Train Arena on Wednesday night.

The Kings erased a 15-point deficit in the fourth quarter with a 19-3 run, capped off by a floating jumper from Rudy Gay to give the Kings a one-point lead, 93-92, with less than seven minutes left.

Paul Pierce, the Clippers' newest fourth-quarter weapon, responded by making a three-pointer and went on to make a fadeaway jumper with 2 minutes 21 seconds left to give the Clippers a 102-100 lead. The Clippers went on to close the game with an 11-4 run.
