After two Summer League games, a couple of things are starting to trend for the Los Angeles Clippers:
1) They’re having trouble checking SFs.
2) The starters under contract aren’t standing out.
The Clippers lost their second game of the Orlando Summer League on Sunday 77-69 to the Detroit Pistons. After allowing 22 points and 18 rebounds to Magic SF Aaron Gordon Saturday, the Clippers gave up 24 points to Pistons rookie SF Stanley Johnson.
Stanimal had it all going, shooting 10-of-14 from the field while adding nine rebounds and three steals.
His counterpart, Clippers SF Jordan Hamilton, was quiet again on Sunday.
