Clippers are reportedly signing center Yanick Moreira

After a rather disappointing 1-4 record in the Orlando Pro Summer League, the Los Angeles Clippers aren’t leaving totally empty handed — they are reportedly signing rookie center Yanick Moreira. According to a report by Sportando (who specialize in international basketball news) the Clippers will sign the Angolan center to a partially guaranteed contract.

He spent his college career at Southern Methodist, where he averaged 11.1 points on 55 percent shooting, 6.4 rebounds, 1 assist, 0.7 steals and 1.2 blocks during 24.4 minutes per game in his final year. And whilst he doesn’t have the most polished skill set, he can at least do one thing well to impress the Clippers at training camp: protect the rim.
