The Clippers reportedly are discussing a deal to acquire Lance Stephenson from the Charlotte Hornets in exchange for Spencer Hawes and Matt Barnes.
According to Yahoo Sports, the proposed trade has been in the works for several days, but a deal has not been finalized.
Stephenson, 24, would give the Clippers an athletic wing player who could fill in at point guard when Chris Paul is on the bench. The temperamental guard has fit well in Charlotte and the Hornets have been looking to unload him since the 2014-15 season, Yahoo Sports reported.
Stephenson has two years left on his contract, with a team option of $9.
