Chris Paul to return after 1-game absence, vs. Memphis

The “Point God” will be on a pitch count but it’s better than being without, as Doc Rivers says Chris Paul will resume his role as starting point guard after missing one game due to a groin injury suffered in a loss to the Golden State Warriors.

Even with Blake Griffin stealing the show with an MVP-worthy season, the Rockets game — and all the time when Paul isn’t on the floor during meaningful minutes — was a clear indicator that if this team wants to reach it’s peak, they’ll need a healthy Chris Paul on the floor to partner up with Griffin, and center DeAndre Jordan.
