Chris Paul selected by head coaches as a reserve for NBA All-Star game

Clippers point guard Chris Paul was selected to the All-Star team for the ninth time in 11 NBA seasons, the league announced Thursday.

Clippers forward Blake Griffin did not make the All-Star team as a reserve after being involved in a fight last weekend with a team equipment manager.

Fourteen reserves were revealed Thursday, one week after the starters were officially selected via fan vote. The reserves were chosen by the NBA’s 30 head coaches.

Versatile Golden State forward-center Draymond Green was a shoo-in for the Western Conference, along with Houston guard James Harden and Sacramento center DeMarcus Cousins.
