The Clippers and free agent forward Brandon Bass have reached an agreement on a veteran’s minimum deal, the Southern California News Group has confirmed.
The move was first reported by The Vertical’s Shams Charania.
Bass, 31, averaged 7.2 points and 4.3 rebounds per game for the Lakers last season. He played for Clippers coach Doc Rivers in Boston for two seasons.
Bass joins Marreese Speights and Raymond Felton as players Rivers has nabbed with veteran's minimum deals, the only mechanism the team has to sign players without violating the NBA’s salary cap.
The Clippers re-signed free agents Jamal Crawford, Austin Rivers, Wesley Johnson and Luc Mbah a Moute earlier this summer.
