All-Star forward Blake Griffin will be sidelined at least two weeks because of a partially torn left quadriceps tendon, the Clippers announced Saturday.
Griffin was injured at an unspecified time in the Clippers' 94-84 victory Friday over the Lakers. An MRI exam on Saturday revealed the injury.
Griffin is averaging 23.2 points, 8.7 rebounds and five assists for the Clippers (17-13), who broke a three-game losing streak Friday.
He will not accompany the team for Saturday's game at Utah. It was unclear if he would join the team before its game Monday at Washington.
If Griffin misses only two weeks, he'll have sat out seven games.
