The Clippers announced Sunday that forward Blake Griffin had been medically cleared for all basketball activities and would begin serving his four-game, team-imposed suspension when the Clippers play the Denver Nuggets at Staples Center.
Griffin will return April 3 against the Washington Wizards at Staples Center. He has missed the last 41 games with a partially torn left quad tendon and right hand fracture.
Griffin participated in his first practice since December on Saturday and looked "phenomenal," according to Clippers Coach Doc Rivers.
Griffin was suspended by the team for punching team assistant equipment manager Matias Testi in January at a Toronto restaurant.
