Blake Griffin made a surprise appearance at a Clippers news conference Tuesday and issued his first public comments about his fight with team employee Matias Testi.
Griffin wore a black wrap on his right hand, which he injured when he punched Testi, an assistant equipment manager, outside a Toronto restaurant on Jan. 23. He underwent surgery to repair a broken bone on Jan. 26. Griffin said Tuesday the hand was getting better.
When Griffin is able to play again, he will serve a four-game suspension for his actions. He will lose a total of five game checks for the incident.
