With his jump shot betraying him, Blake Griffin decided to familiarize himself with the basket in other ways.
He took a pass from Jeff Green for a dunk. He made a turnaround hook shot. He grabbed a bounce pass from Chris Paul for a cutting layup.
Griffin scored seven of his 17 points in the fourth quarter to help the Clippers hold off the Dallas Mavericks, 98-91, on Sunday afternoon at Staples Center for their fifth consecutive victory.
Griffin finished just short of a triple-double after finishing with 10 rebounds and seven assists. He made three of four shots in the fourth quarter and seven of 18 overall.
