Ballmer dunks, Chuck hatches against Brooklyn: What you need to know

LOS ANGELES – How weird was the Clippers’ halftime show Monday? J.J. Redick’s assumption that maybe a Vanilla Ice concert just occurred showed a real lack of imagination.

No, the 90’s rapper wasn’t in the house, but after 59-year-old Clippers owner Steve Ballmer jumped off a trampoline and dunked a basketball, he probably yelled “Ice, ice baby” – for his aching knees.

The Clippers’ 105-95 win against Brooklyn was probably the fifth-most interesting thing that happened at Staples Center Monday, so let’s count ‘em down.

1.) Ballmer dunked.

The 21st-richest man in America (per the Forbes 400) took a basketball, ran from midcourt, jumped off a trampoline (he almost missed) and slammed home the ball with two hands.
