Sometimes, it feels like the NBA gives up on young players a bit too easily. In a system which (in general) sends the better prospects to the worst teams, perhaps we shouldn’t be so ready to call a 21 year old a bust because he hasn’t led a team from worst to first.
The Clippers are in a really nice situation to be able to capitalize on that, if they would like to. With a front office and head coach that are among the best in the league, as well as a roster that’s already built to win, a young player could easily regain some confidence and form with the Clips.
