Clippers planning "massive" push for Kevin Durant next year
Los Angeles still has to fill out their roster for the 2015 season, but that hasn't stopped them from looking ahead to 2016's free agency class.
According to Chris Palmer, the Clippers are planning a massive push to sign Kevin Durant next offseason, and there is "mutual interest." The Thunder and Wizards are thought to be the two favorites to sign the former MVP in 2016, but the Clippers are doing their best to throw themselves in the mix.
Los Angeles in talks with JaVale McGee
Since losing DeAndre Jordan in free agency, the Clippers have turned their attention to other free agent centers, including JaVale McGee. Los Angeles has $2.2 million in exception space left, all of which they'd give to McGee, who they're hoping can lessen the loss of Jordan with his elite athleticism.
Clippers to speak with Amare Stoudemire
Los Angeles has also talked with Amare Stoudemire, hoping the can add more depth to their now scare big man rotation. Stoudemire and Chris Paul are close, but Amare still plans to meet with several teams before making a decision.
