The Los Angeles Clippers are looking for help down low in the block, and Yahoo! Sports' Marc J. Spears reports that they could be interested in the New York Knicks' Amar'e Stoudemire, providing he is bought out of his current contract following the NBA All-Star Game next weekend.
"One team that could have interest in Stoudemire if he becomes a free agent is the Los Angeles Clippers, whose coach Doc Rivers said the team would be in the market for buyout players," Spears wrote on Thursday.

While the Knicks are reportedly more focused on buying out Andrea Bargnani that Stoudemire at this juncture, the former six-time All-Star admits that talks will likely take place.
"I'm sure we will have an open discussion about it," Stoudemire said. "We have a great communicative relationship with the Knicks. I am sure we will make a sound decision together."
If the sides agree to a buyout, don't be surprised if the Clippers swoop in quickly and woo Stoudemire to join them for the stretch run and NBA Playoffs.
Stoudemire, 32, is currently averaging 12.2 points and 7.0 rebounds over an average of 24.5 minutes per game in 32 contests. He says he still wants to play several more seasons before seeking a second career as a TV analyst.
