Adam Silver's press conference regarding alleged racial remarks attributed to Los Angeles Clippers' owner Donald Sterling was short and to the point.
Silver first addressed the nature of the comments linked to Sterling, which were released in an audio recording by TMZ Sports (thanks to Basketball Insiders' Alex Kennedy):
Adam Silver: "I'm not prepared to discuss any potential sanctions against Donald Sterling. We will, however, move quickly."
— Alex Kennedy (@AlexKennedyNBA) April 27, 2014
Silver made it clear that Sterling deserves a full investigation before any disciplinary action is taken in the matter:
Adam Silver: "Donald Sterling should be afforded due process, just as any player or executive would be." — Alex Kennedy (@AlexKennedyNBA) April 27, 2014
Silver also noted that the NBA will have a vast selection of potential actions they can take if Sterling is proven to have been the one making the comments on the audio recording (thanks Chris Sheridan of Sheridan Hoops):
Silver: "There are broad powers under NBA bylaws that include a range of sanctions. All will be considered after our investigation."

All in all, it was a brief press conference which lays out a multitude of options for Silver in the situation going forward. We will have more on this developing situation here at Chat Sports as more information is made available.
