Los Angeles Clippers center DeAndre Jordan will be one of the most sought-after free agents this offseason with several teams pursuing his services. Which teams have the best chance to land him?
3) Los Angeles Lakers
If Jordan ends up leaving the Clippers, he may not end up leaving the city of Los Angeles. The Lakers will likely draft a big man - either Kentucky's Karl-Anthony Towns or Duke's Jahlil Okafor - with the No. 2 pick in the NBA Draft, but there's a chance they'll draft Ohio State combo guard D'Angelo Russell. If they end up going with Russell, the Lakers will have a ton of cap space and a big need for an elite rim protector - making Jordan a perfect fit.
2) New York Knicks
New York has the cap space to give him close to max deal if they so choose, and while that may seem like an overpay, Jordan’s elite rebounding and shot-blocking abilities would greatly improve a Knicks team that really struggled on the defensive end of the court. He has said he "loves New York City" and wants to play in New York, but the Knicks will likely have to outbid the Clippers if they want him.
1) Los Angeles Clippers
However, all signs point to Jordan returning to the Clippers next year. Despite his reported rift with point guard Chris Paul, head coach and general manager Doc Rivers said Los Angeles plans to offer Jordan a max deal - which will be longer and worth more money than anyone else can offer him.
