WR Travis Benjamin has knee sprain, plans on playing through pain

SAN DIEGO – Travis Benjamin has been limited in practice that last two weeks for the San Diego Chargers and his game reps have been reduced due to a right knee injury.

Benjamin confirmed an earlier report by NFL.com that he sought a second opinion on his injury, which has been diagnosed as a grade-2 PCL knee sprain that will not require surgery.

Benjamin did not practice on Wednesday for the Chargers as he tries to rest the injury, but is hopeful to play again on Sunday against the Tennessee Titans.

“I’m just staying on top of it,” Benjamin said.
