Los Angeles Chargers wide receiver Mike Williams will not play in Saturday night's wild-card playoff game at the Jacksonville Jaguars.
Williams was downgraded to out Friday by the Chargers, who said the wide receiver would remain in Los Angeles to continue receiving treatment.
The sixth-year receiver had not practiced all week after suffering a contusion in his back in the regular-season finale against the Denver Broncos. Coach Brandon Staley said Thursday that an MRI was negative, not showing any fracture or muscle injury.
A 2017 first-round draft pick, Williams has caught 63 passes for a team-high 895 yards and four touchdowns this season.
