Earlier this offseason, the Chargers were a team predicted to try and make a splash this offseason in an attempt to get Justin Herbert more help on offense. That claim came from an anonymous NFL coordinator who thought the Bolts could pull off a trade with the Seahawks for veteran wide receiver D.K. Metcalf.
While it was all just hype and rumors back then, the idea just gained a ton of steam as it was reported Wednesday morning that Metcalf had been granted permission to seek a trade partner, per NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero.
