Chargers coach Mike McCoy and quarterback Phillip Rivers recap their team's 37-29 loss to the Raiders.
SAN DIEGO -- Coach Mike McCoy said the San Diego Chargers had a great week of practice heading into his team’s 37-29 dismantling at the hands of the Oakland Raiders.
McCoy said his team was mentally prepared. The Chargers had a great game plan. Players and coaches worked hard, practiced enthusiastically and were focused on turning the season around in an all-important AFC West division opener against the hated Raiders.
But there’s no other way than to say it: The Chargers laid an egg on Sunday, falling behind 30-6 at halftime.
